Categories of Council Members
There shall be three categories of members of the Council:
- Ordinary Members
- Associate Members
- Honorary Members
Ordinary Membership
Ordinary Members
Ordinary membership of the Council shall be open to any individual or legal entity engaged in the business of imports and exports, or users of logistics-related services. This includes organizations and persons involved in:
- Import and Export Trade
- Transport Services
- Storage and Warehousing Services
- Cargo Handling Services
- Packaging Services
- Other Logistics Support Services within the Supply Chain
Associate Membership
Associate Members
The Executive Committee may, at its discretion, invite any corporation established by statute or otherwise, which does not qualify as an ordinary member but whose activities relate to the objectives and functions of the Council, to join as an associate member.
Honorary Membership
Honorary Members
The Executive Committee may confer honorary membership upon individuals who have made significant contributions to the Council and its objectives.The Executive may determine the conditions under which members or officials of member organizations who have distinguished themselves may be nominated or recognized as honorary members.
Criteria for Honorary Membership
Honorary membership may be granted to individuals who:
- Served as Chairperson or Vice-Chairperson of a constituent body of the Council for more than five years
Represented the Council in an exceptional manner within external organizations or forums Were founding members involved in the establishment of the Council
Rights of Honorary Members
Honorary members shall:
- Have access to meetings of the Council or Executive in which they previously served
- Hold an advisory vote during such meetings
