Membership to the Council
Membership of the Council shall be open to any shipper, defined as a person or entity that enters into, or demonstrates the intention to enter into, a contractual or other arrangement with a carrier, shipping line, or airline for the shipment of goods in which they have a beneficial interest.
Eligibility for Membership
The following categories shall qualify for membership of the Association:
1. Individuals or Companies Legally Operating in South Sudan
Applicants must be legally registered and actively conducting business within South Sudan under any of the following categories:
- Importer
- Exporter
2. Individuals, Companies, or NGOs Involved in the Supply and Logistics Chain
Organizations or persons actively engaged in logistics and supply chain services may qualify, including:
- Transport Service Providers
- Warehouse Service Providers
- Cargo Handling Service Providers
3. Members of Related Professional Associations
Applicants who are members of recognized industry associations may also qualify, including:
- Clearing and Forwarding Agents Associations
- Manufacturers Associations
Membership Requirements
- Comply with the laws and regulations of South Sudan
- Submit valid business registration and operational documents where applicable
- Agree to abide by the Constitution, policies, and code of conduct of the Association
- Pay the prescribed membership registration and annual subscription fees
Membership Approval
Applications for membership shall be reviewed and approved by the Council or the designated Membership Committee in accordance with the Association’s regulations.
